Marvel Tokon’s Year 1 DLC roadmap will continue with Thor (Jane Foster) this winter, followed by two more characters arriving in 2027. Utvecklare Arc System Works confirmed the lineup alongside Evo France 2026.
The Jane Foster version of Asgard’s God of Thunder is officially set to follow Cyclops, who releases November 2, 2026. The announcement included a sneak peek at her Marvel Tokon model in Odin’s Vault on Asgard.

A clip released with the reveal teases that Jane will likely fight Loki while wielding Mjolnir when a proper gameplay trailer premieres at a later date. Arc System Works said she is scheduled to launch in “winter 2027,” meaning her arrival should come sometime before March of next year.
Despite some player concerns that poor sales could jeopardize the Marvel fighting game’s future, at least two more characters will arrive in spring and summer 2027. Spider-Man anti-hero Venom joins the roster in spring 2027, with X-Men character Jubilee following in the summer.
Cyclops and Thor enter as relatively lesser-known versions of themselves, while Venom and Jubilee appear to be more straightforward picks. Players will see them fight against the game’s roster – which includes Doctor Doom, Iron Man, Carnage, Magneto, and others – in Arc System Works’ heightened style.
While details surrounding each DLC release remain unclear, the reveal trailer confirmed that Venom will also come with a stage based on the Symbiote home world of Klyntar. All characters are part of the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, which costs $34.99.
The announcement arrives amid uncertainty surrounding Marvel Tokon: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The game launched to strong reviews (a 9/10 from IGN) in August, but players on PC have struggled. Its Steam launch brought mixed reviews from fans who complained of widespread technical issues and PlayStation Network requirements.
Even as developers almost immediately promised to investigate the issues, backlash grew quickly enough that fighting game community member Maximilian Dood wrote off playing the PC version altogether. It took only a few days for Arc System Works to push out a fix for most players’ issues, but Steam player numbers still struggle to break even 1,000 concurrent users (via SteamDB).
The developers have admitted that earning back trust will be “extremely challenging.” While Marvel Tokon’s presence on PlayStation 5 seemed well received, director Kazuto Sekine eventually went on to apologize for the PC launch (bağlantı, bağlantı).

The developers clearly have a plan in place at least until summer 2027. While waiting to see how Thor, Venom, and Jubilee enter the game, players can read about the characters dataminers were expecting to see first.
