For decades, the Marvel Masterworks line stood as the gold standard for reprinting classic superhero comics in a comprehensive, collector-friendly format—until Marvel shelved the series at the start of 2026. Now Clover Press has stepped into the void, announcing the revival of the iconic hardcover imprint through an active crowdfunding campaign that picks up exactly where the publisher left off.
The Kickstarter, which is already live, will produce four flagship volumes: Marvel Masterworks: The Uncanny X-Men Vol. 18, Super-Villain Team-Up Vol. 1, The Mighty Thor Vol. 25, and The Tomb of Dracula Vol. 6. Each title will be offered in three cover variants—two faithful to the classic Masterworks aesthetic and one taking a fresh, more stylized approach.
