Konami is returning to developing new entries in its catalog of classic franchises, and that effort is beginning to pay off. In its latest financial report, the publisher recorded a 75.1% increase in profit compared to the previous year, and between April and September 2026 it achieved a 44.3% rise in sales.

So what did it accomplish during the previous quarter to reach those figures? It released outstanding games.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Silent Hill: Townfall, and eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 all launched during the quarter, while its eFootball live-service title also received a major update.
After many years away from the console and PC gaming scene, during which it dabbled with Pachinko machines and sports clubs, Konami is finally delivering quality titles, and its financial figures have risen as a result.
Confirmed projects for the future include Rev. Noir, Rhapsody in Scarlet, and a Silent Hill 1 remake. Will a new Metal Gear Solid entry appear on that list in the years to come? I certainly hope so.
In part thanks to the success of its video game production efforts and other sectors within Konami, the company as a whole has raised its projected operating profit by 39.3%, with sales expected to grow by 18.1%.
