Mina the Hollower has been available digitally for Switch 1 and 2 since May, and if you’re curious about the status of the physical edition, you’re not alone.
During a chat with the Switch community on Reddit this week, developer Yacht Club 게임 reassured fans that the release is “still planned.” Company founder Sean Velasco said the team is still searching for the right publishing and distribution partner:
“Yes! It’s still planned. We’re working on finding the right publishing and distribution partner to make it happen. No release date to share yet, but it’s absolutely still in progress!”
As for the release window of the physical version, fans can expect it by next year. Yacht Club has already released some Mina the Hollower merchandise through Fangamer and a soundtrack vinyl on iam8bit, with an art book also on the way.
During the same chat, Yacht Club mentioned that it is currently working on “more post-release features” and “some quality of life and accessibility content updates to polish the full experience,” while reiterating that there are no plans for DLC at this time:
“Nothing to announce on DLC right now, but we’re working on more post-release features! Expanded randomizer options, enemy and boss randomization, more modifiers, speedrunner features… lots of ways to do even more in Mina.”
So, when the physical version of Mina the Hollower does eventually arrive, it will hopefully be the definitive version of the game.
