Into the Radius 2: Prepare to Survive the Fog on PS VR2

If you’re familiar with the unforgiving world of Into the Radius, you know that survival isn’t about rushing in guns blazing. It demands meticulous preparation, tactical patience, and a healthy respect for the unknown. On September 24, 2026, CM Immersive is thrilled to bring the next evolution of this hardcore VR survival shooter to PlayStation VR2 with Into the Radius 2.

A Deeper, More Tactile Experience

The team at CM Immersive took what players loved about the original and rebuilt it from the ground up. The result is a deeper, visually stunning, and far more tactile experience. At launch, players will dive into a brand-new single-player campaign, followed by a free post-launch update in Q4 2026 that introduces thrilling 2-player co-op.

Total Control: Modular Loadouts and Maintenance

A key focus for Into the Radius 2 was giving players unparalleled control over their gear. In a game where a delayed reload can mean starting over, your setup needs to feel like second nature. The loadout system has been completely overhauled, allowing you to physically configure your chest rigs, armor vests, and backpacks down to the exact angle and position of every pouch and holster. Whether you prefer quick-drawing a sidearm from your hip or reaching over your shoulder for a magazine in pitch darkness, the setup is entirely yours.

Weapon mechanics have also received a major upgrade. You can now swap barrels, stocks, optics, grips, and magazines to perfectly match your tactical approach. And if you’re feeling creative, you can even paint your gear using over 15 solid colors and 10 camo patterns.

Maintenance is now far more granular. Every modular part of a weapon tracks its own wear and dirtiness level. When you use your cleaning spray and brush, you need to ensure you thoroughly cover each individual component. Skipping maintenance between runs will cause dirty parts to jam your rifle at the worst possible moment.

Deadlier Threats and Anomalies

The Pechorsk Anomaly has evolved. It’s larger, visually haunting, and populated by entities that won’t just attack; they will actively outsmart you.

Environmental storytelling is woven throughout the experience, told through scattered notes, frozen human remnants, and bizarre artifacts – ordinary household objects twisted by the Radius itself.

The entities hunting you have also evolved. Mimics now actively use cover, flank your position, and work together in dense fog. Fragments rush you straight on to break your defense, while Phantoms remain mostly invisible until you stop moving, focusing directly on you. When Creeps appear, their speed and agility demand total focus and fast reflexes before you get swarmed.

Navigating the terrain is just as treacherous. Hazards behave unpredictably, building charges before releasing lethal electric shocks or bursting into high-velocity shrapnel on contact. Others swallow surrounding light to plunge you into pitch blackness. Anomalies latch onto your body before detonating, while force fields violently blast you backward. Distortion Zones require specialized anti-distortion headgear to prevent your health from steadily draining. And the Tide periodically sweeps through, resetting enemy locations and loot spawns, so you can never rely on a single comfortable routine.

Powered by PlayStation VR2

Bringing Into the Radius 2 to PS VR2 allowed CM Immersive to ground players even further inside this unsettling world by connecting physics directly to the hardware:

  • Tactile Weapon Handling: Sense controller adaptive triggers provide unique resistance depending on the action of your firearm, allowing you to feel the distinct weight of different trigger pulls.
  • Haptic Feedback: Headset and controller haptics translate everything from the thrum of an anomaly pulse to the crunching impacts of close-quarter hits.
  • Crisp Visuals & Performance: Powered by native 90FPS performance and eye-tracked foveated rendering, distant anomalies and dense fog retain extreme clarity without sacrificing smoothness.
  • Spatial Audio: 3D Audio lets you pinpoint the clicking of a nearby hazard or the faint footsteps of a flanking enemy long before you see them.

Co-op is Coming

While the immediate priority at launch is delivering a complete, atmosphere-rich single-player campaign, survival doesn’t always have to be a solo journey. In Q4 2026, a free update will introduce 2-player co-op, allowing you to bring a partner into the Anomaly to share resources, cover sightlines, and plan tactical approaches together.

Building this sequel for the community has been a massive labor of love, and CM Immersive can’t wait for both veterans and newcomers to enter the Pechorsk Anomaly on September 24.

Build your loadout, keep your weapons clean, and venture into the fog. See you in the Radius!
