According to a report by Rachel Weber for IGN, the outlet has unveiled three new cast members joining the cast of Netflix’s Emmy-winning animated series Blue Eye Samurai, just ahead of IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition.
The first-season finale ended with protagonist Mizu setting sail for London to continue her search for answers about her origins. Season 2 will reveal what she discovers in the city, though Weber notes it is unlikely to be “all going to be cups of tea and crumpets.”

The newly revealed cast additions include Joel Kim Booster as Priest Ando, Jonathan Pryce at Old Violet, and Sherry Cola as Kuma.
Blue Eye Samurai is described as a “gloriously bloody animated revenge drama” set in 17th century Japan. The series follows Mizu, voiced by Maya Erskine, a swordmaster whose distinctive blue eyes mark her as an outcast. Disguised as a man and skilled with a blade, she embarks on a quest to hunt down four white men who were living in Japan at the time of her birth.
The series was created by Michael Green—whose other works include Logan and Blade Runner 2049—and Amber Noizumi. It debuted in November 2023 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program, a distinction Weber notes is “a respectable achievement for a show featuring so many severed limbs.”
Season 2 arrives on Netflix in January 2027, with a third and final season planned for 2028 to conclude Mizu’s journey.
Fall Fan Fest features 90 exclusive reveals spanning games, movies, TV, comics, and collectibles. It is available to stream on IGN, where viewers can find game announcements, trailers, exclusive clips, celebrity interviews, and more.
