Fast travel is locked away until you make significant progress in bağlantı”>Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Once unlocked, it lets players return to any area they have already visited.

The feature unlocks automatically when you meet the Boatman, though that encounter won’t come early. The door leading to one of his ferry stops is hidden deep within the Catacombs, which can only be reached after defeating three bosses around Paris — bağlantı”>Medusa, Joan at the bağlantı”>top of Prison Tower, and The Fallen — and obtaining their emblems.

The Catacombs have only one way down. Follow the path into the depths, using the green wall markers as a guide if you lose your way. Open the pathways back to the mirror room as you descend so you can quickly return via elevator.

At the very bottom of the Catacombs, players encounter Death. It is a mandatory boss and a mandatory loss — you lose the fight as soon as Death touches you, roughly two seconds into the battle. After some cutscenes, you must guide Rose back up through the Catacombs to reach the Death’s Throat area again.

There you’ll find a door that is the only way forward. Open it to meet the Boatman, who offers his services. He takes players back to any area they’ve already visited in Paris and in the zone that unlocks after the fight against Death.
