How to complete the ‘Home to Roost’ quest in Arc Raiders

The “Home to Roost” quest in Arc Raiders is one of the lengthier, more difficult quests available after the ‘Frozen Trails’ update — though it does not involve the new Pendola Pass map at all. The action takes place entirely on Blue Gate, where players must reach the back of the tunnels while dodging pops, fireballs, shredders and other Arc enemies.

The eight-step quest need not be completed in a single round but must be done in order. Here is how to complete each stage.

Quest steps

1. Reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels.
2. Scan any android in the back of the Traffic Tunnels.
3. Head to the Mantikor locker room.
4. Search the locker room for clues.
5. Read the last vehicle weighing logs.
6. Find the hidden key (optional).
7. Enter the Confiscation Room.
8. Transmit Mantikor’s last security recordings to Shani.

Reaching the back of the Blue Gate tunnels and scanning an android

To reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels, head for the area containing the Outer Gates, Warehouse Complex, Gate Control Room and Headhouse. Look for any path leading underground — while the most obvious route is through the Outer Gates, a Bastion or Bombardier may be patrolling the area.

Once underground, your map switches to the lower level where you can see the Traffic Tunnel location. The tunnel splits in two at the bottom of the Headhouse; touching the back wall of either road completes that objective. Picking the left (northbound) road is recommended, as it is full of androids — approach and interact with one to complete the second step.

Finding the Mantikor locker room and its clues

Open your map and head toward the Security Wing. As you approach, look for a blue Mantikor sign above a locked door — this is where you’ll return later. For now, turn right and climb the stairs, following the path around while defeating any enemies in your way.

Take another right to find a doorway to the locker room, marked by another Mantikor sign on the wall inside. Enter the room to update the objective, then interact with a red painting hanging in the back corner to complete this step.

Reading the last vehicle weighing logs

Turn around and retrace your steps down the stairs out to where the locked door was. Look left to find the vehicle weighing station in the road, containing a rusted car. Move to the side of it nearly touching the wall to interact with a terminal.

This causes a box to drop to the ground — search it to find the spare key, which grants access to the quest’s final room.

Entering the Confiscation Room and transmitting security recordings

Return to the locked door you noted earlier. Unlock it, go inside, then enter the back room. Climb on top of the metal shelves in the middle of the room to find a shoebox with a prompt to transmit the security recording.

Interact with it and “Home to Roost” is complete. Returning to Shani rewards you with 5,000 XP, a surge shield recharger, two sterilised bandages and two antiseptic, along with the “Someone Else’s Shoes” quest.
