•On October 20, the Ministry of Defense will authorize deployment of the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond, adding new long-range and clandestine combat solutions to Helldivers 2. The warbond introduces sniper rifles, an anti-materiel rifle, energy weapons, armor sets, stratagems, a passive ability, an emote, and a title aimed at distance shooters.
The release is confirmed by the game’s official PlayStation blog, which frames the content as a way to “guarantee your squad never misses the mark.” The warbond requires the base game, Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.
Weapons & Stratagems
The R-40 Sightliner is a bolt-action sniper rifle developed after “extensive research and trials in the Ministry of Defense,” offering armor-piercing rounds and long-range precision. It pairs with the P-44 Mist, a one-handed machine pistol designed for compact carry when enemies close in.
The AMW-20 Apex is described as a backpack-fed, colossal anti-materiel rifle featuring assisted reload, built to counter larger, heavily-armored foes. The LAS-44 Nova joins the series of energy weapons, firing a high-precision non-explosive thermal projectile after a short charge cycle; an optimization routine improves cooldown performance.
The G-11 Caltrops is a thrown stratagem that scatters proximity-detonated submunitions to slow and stun foes.
Armors, passive, and more
The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor draws inspiration from old-fashioned ghillie suits while retaining modern tactical polish, coordinated with a Mimetic Mesh cape and player card. The SS-15 Focal Point medium armor features adaptive camouflage and optics in an asymmetrical visor, pairing with the Boundary Banner cape and player card.
Both armors include the Stationary Shroud passive, which reduces weapon sway and detection range while crouched or prone by mimicking foliage concealment. Players will also receive the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and a new title, Longshot.
The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond launches October 20.
