Rockstar Hry has spent years refining the fine details of Grand Theft Automaticky 6, including a new sweating system that responds to what characters are doing.
According to a report by Jason Schreier on his YouTube channel, Rockstar built a system into GTA 6 that makes protagonists Lucia or Jason perspire varying amounts “depending on how much effort they’re putting in.”

“If they’re dancing extra hard in the nightclub, they will sweat more than if they are not,” Schreier said. The sweating mechanic is expected to apply elsewhere as well, such as during gym workouts or while outside in the heat of GTA 6’s version of south Florida.
GTA 6 is not the first game to push realism in this area. EA Sports made sweat look more realistic in the Madden franchise years ago, and 2K Sports improved its in-game sweating system in the NBA 2K series even earlier.
Rockstar has pursued greater realism across GTA 6 through other means as well, including ridealongs with police officers and visits to strip clubs. The studio noted it sought a balance between simulating daily life and delivering an enjoyable experience, since GTA 6 is not a full-life simulator.
Grand Theft Automaticky 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is expected to be the biggest game ever released, though experts say its success will not resolve the many deep and serious issues facing the current video game market.
