GTA 6 Price Unveiled: Rockstar Confirms Hike in Both Editions

Rockstar Games has finally answered the most pressing question surrounding the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI: its price. After months of speculation from players, industry analysts, and even investment banks, the studio has released a press statement clarifying the cost of the game.

The title will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles on November 19, available in two editions: the standard version and the Ultimate Edition. Pre‑orders for both editions will open at midnight local time on June 25, while pre‑download will begin on November 12 across all formats. From that same day, a physical copy will also be available, though it will contain a digital code rather than a disc, enabling instant access to the pre‑download.

Rockstar’s North American division announced that the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI will retail for $79.99 on both PS5 and Xbox Series, whether purchased digitally or in physical form. The Ultimate Edition will be priced at $99.99.

While the exact pricing for Spain and the rest of Europe has not been disclosed, it is customary for titles to carry a surcharge of roughly ten euros in the European market compared to the U.S. market. Consequently, the standard edition is expected to retail at €89.99 in Spain—an amount that currently only matches the price of Mario Kart World for Switch 2—while the Ultimate Edition would likely be priced at €109.99.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will open for pre‑orders on Thursday, June 25, across a range of retail channels: physical stores and chains, the PlayStation Store for the PS5 version, the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series, and Rockstar Games’ own online storefront.
