Rockstar’s upcoming crime epic may become the next obsession for dedicated gamers. A new leak lists 55 single-player GTA 6 trophies and Xbox achievements to strive for. PS5 users could earn a platinum trophy, while Series X and S loyalists would eye a rare mythic achievement.
Rockstar looks prepared to challenge the top PlayStation trophy and Xbox achievement hunters. A pair of GTA 6 leaks indicates the game is launching with 55 objectives on both platforms. Since they’re all solo-oriented, that’s more than players saw on the GTA 5 release date.
The information doesn’t include names to avoid potential story spoilers. Shared by GameRoll, TexFunz2 first divulged how Series X and S owners will have 55 initial goals. However, one has a value of 1000, hinting Microsoft could introduce a mythic achievement. Seen only in first-party games like Gears of War: E-Day, it rivals a PS5 platinum trophy and caters to completionists.
Dataminer PlayStation Game Size then confirmed the same total for Sony’s console. Compared with prior Rockstar titles, it may require a staggering number of hours. GTA 5 debuted with 49 achievements on the Xbox 360 and 50 on the PS3, before expanding by 1 in the next generation. However, some of those feats were only possible in GTA Online.
The GTA 6 leak also suggests fans will face a tougher task than on the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date. At launch, there were 51 achievements on the Xbox One and 52 PlayStation trophies on the PS4, including a platinum. Again, many of them were flerspiller-focused.
Bigger map, greater challenge?
Leonida’s map is significantly larger than previous Rockstar open worlds. It’s not surprising, then, that with more exploration would come more single-player objectives. Co-studio lead Rob Nelson said the main story and some added quests demand around 80 gameplay hours. When considering the freedom Jason and Lucia have, a GTA 6 platinum trophy or mythic achievement could be daunting.
Although it may not arrive until long after the release date, a follow-up to GTA Online seems inevitable. Like with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, that will undoubtedly bring new GTA 6 trophies.
