Rockstar’s highly anticipated Grand Theft Automatisch 6 is almost here, and the launch strategy has already ignited a frenzy among fans. While most players will experience the game at their local midnight on November 19th, some are devising clever (and potentially risky) methods to jump the gun and dive into Vice City hours before everyone else.
The Time Zone Advantage
Rockstar’s decision to roll out GTA 6 according to local time zones means that players in New Zealand will enjoy a significant head start – roughly 20 hours – compared to those in Mexico and other parts of Central America. This has naturally led to discussions about exploiting this temporal advantage, particularly on consoles where region settings can be manipulated.
While there are no physical discs involved in this digital-only release, the possibility of altering console regions to access the game earlier has become a hot topic within the GTA community. However, it’s important to remember that attempting such maneuvers could potentially violate terms of service and lead to unforeseen consequences.
Console Region Exploits: Proceed with Caution
For those playing on Xbox Series X/S consoles, changing the region setting is a known (though officially unsupported) method for accessing games earlier than their intended release time in your local timezone. However, this trick doesn’t work on PlayStation 5 consoles, although technically possible with a separate New Zealand account funded by a New Zealand gift card.
The rollout continues from New Zealand to Australia, Japan, India, across Europe to the U.K., and finally reaches North America. Thankfully, even on the West Coast of the US, everyone will get to play at midnight Eastern Time, giving those players a few extra hours before hitting the hay.
Pre-Loading and Physical Copies
Mark your calendars: GTA 6 officially launches on November 19th! If you’re eagerly awaiting the game, pre-loading will be available starting November 12th. This is also when boxed copies of the game (containing a digital download code) will begin shipping. Rockstar hasn’t yet revealed the exact file size required for installation, but stay tuned to IGN for all the details you need.
Whether you choose to play it by the book or attempt a clever timezone hack, one thing is certain: the wait for Grand Theft Automatisch 6 is almost over! Get ready to experience the next chapter in this iconic gaming franchise.
Remember to stay informed about any potential risks associated with manipulating console regions and always adhere to the terms of service for your gaming platform.
The anticipation is palpable, and the gaming community is buzzing with excitement. Get ready to dive into the world of Vice City and experience everything that Grand Theft Automatisch 6 has to offer!
Stay tuned for more updates and news as we approach the official launch date. The countdown is on!
