GTA 6’s download size on PS5 has reportedly been revealed ahead of its November 19 launch, and players might want to start clearing some serious storage space.
With just weeks remaining until Grand Theft Automat 6 finally arrives, Rockstar Jocuri has been revealing more about its highly anticipated open-world title, including its enormous map that’s twice the size of GTA 5’s.
However, one detail that remained a mystery was exactly how much storage space players would need to explore Vice City.
Now, that question may finally have an answer, and it’s a big one.
GTA 6 reportedly requires 210GB of storage
According to PlayStation Game Size, GTA 6 will reportedly have a download size of 210GB, making it one of the biggest games on the platform.
The information was shared on October 27, with Insider Gaming reporting that it had independently corroborated the figure.
For perspective, that’s nearly a third of the original PS5’s 667GB of usable storage, meaning players could need to uninstall several games just to make room for Rockstar’s blockbuster.
The figure also follows claims from notorious GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek, who previously threatened to release a playable development build allegedly exceeding 200GB.
While the numbers are remarkably similar, Cyberleek’s claim concerned an alleged development build rather than the finished game.
Rockstar has yet to officially confirm the 210GB download size, and it’s unclear whether the Xbox Series X|S version will require the same amount of storage.
The final install size could also change with launch-day updates and future content.

Fortunately, players won’t have to download everything on release day. Rockstar has confirmed that pre-loading begins November 12, giving fans an entire week to prepare before GTA 6 launches on November 19.
Even those buying a physical copy won’t escape the massive download, as Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6’s boxed edition contains a download code rather than a disc.
With launch rapidly approaching, clearing out some old games might be the first mission GTA 6 players need to complete.
