Rockstar Ігри is expected to bring Grand Theft Автоматично VI to PC during the first quarter of 2027, according to a report by four anonymous sources. The game launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026, which would place the PC release just a few months after consoles if the plan holds.
The timeline was reported by GamesBeat based on the four unnamed sources. Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive have not commented on the report.

The PC release may coincide with the багатокористувацька mode of GTA 6, which fans have dubbed “GTA Online 2” while awaiting official confirmation from Rockstar. The company has not confirmed whether an online mode will accompany the game. Last month, Twitch chief Dan Clancy said the багатокористувацька component—under whatever name it ultimately receives—would launch next year.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has historically offered vague responses when asked about a PC version of GTA 6, deferring announcements to Rockstar. In May, he told Bloomberg that Rockstar “always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you’re judged by serving the core.” He added: “If your core consumer isn’t there, if they’re not served first and best, you kind of don’t hit your other consumers.”
Rockstar’s past titles—including Red Dead Redemption, GTA 5, LA Noire, Max Payne 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2—all arrived on PC after their console releases. While the game’s core audience may lean toward consoles, it maintains a large base of active PC players driven by GTA Online and role-play servers.
Twelve months ago, Zelnick told CNBC’s Squawk Box that the industry was “moving towards PC,” describing the video game business as trending toward what he called “open rather than closed” platforms.
In 2024, when asked whether a lack of a PC version of GTA 6 was permanent, Zelnick declined to commit to either outcome.
Assuming GTA 6 does reach PC early next year, players will likely want to know how it performs relative to consoles. Rockstar has not confirmed the game’s console performance, leaving frame rates and resolution unconfirmed. Any PC version is expected to offer stronger performance for sufficiently powerful systems.
