According to a report by IGN, IDW Publishing has acquired the rights to publish new James Bond comic book adventures and has tapped Grant Morrison—renowned for work on New X-Men and Doom Patrol—to launch an ongoing series.
The announcement was made at New York Comic Con 2026, described as potentially the biggest comic book-related news of the event. Little else is known about the project yet, including its artist, official title, or release date.
Morrison’s series will begin with a six-part storyline titled “Sunbreaker.” The writer shared their plans for the project in a statement:

This series marks the beginning of IDW’s collaboration with Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. The James Bond license has found a home at several publishers over the decades, most recently at Dynamite Entertainment.
