Less than a day after the film’s New York Comic Con panel, a second trailer for bağlantı”>Godzilla Minus Zero was released, continuing to hint that Godzilla is not the only monster threat humans will face in the anticipated sequel.
The trailer opens with a doctor suggesting that Noriko had “no business surviving” the events of Godzilla Minus One, before cutting to Koichi flying through a supernatural storm and lifting entire houses high into the air. A sizzle reel follows, showing people running from or discussing their fear of an impending threat, culminating in a massive atomic breath attack from Godzilla.

While Godzilla’s attacks carry a blue hue in both Godzilla Minus One and this trailer, beams that attack civilians and destroy bombs appear more yellow or lightning-like at certain points — suggesting another creature lurks beyond what is shown on screen. The trailer’s description alludes to “a new threat” without revealing it.
According to bağlantı”>Polygon’s review and comments from the filmmakers at New York Comic Con, Gidorah plays a major role in Godzilla Minus Zero. The three-headed monster debuted in 1964 and has become one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters, facing off against Godzilla across many films.
The creature was last seen in 2019’s American-made bağlantı”>Godzilla: King of the Monsters, raising questions about how director Takashi Yamazaki will reinterpret it for his post-World War II setting.
Godzilla Minus Zero opens in theaters on Nov. 6.
