Super SHIELD is a game that combines the simplicity and pureness of Super Hexagon with the frantic eccentricity of Bit Trip Beat! It controls similarly to Super Hexagon in that you move by rotating the player, but plays similarly to Bit Trip Beat by giving you moving targets that you have to deflect! Think of it as a 360 degree rotational Pong! Combining beautiful colors, music, and sounds, the final game will be shooting for wonderful and eccentric aesthetics with pure, frantic gameplay.

I originally had a prototype of this game about a year ago and placed it on Steam greenlight to gauge people’s reactions and how the system works.

Release & Industry Impact

This version has been a reboot of the original idea made for mini LD 58; the theme being Pong. For the reboot I re-did the basic game and upgraded to Unity 5.
