Meta-Trek

🏢 Brandon Rigney III 📅 01 Jan 1980
Greatly expanding upon the classic mainframe Star Trek simulation tradition with new tactical layers, planetary exploration, and cloaked enemy AI, programmer Brandon Rigney III and The Software Exchange released Meta-Trek in 1980 for the TRS-80 Model I, placing players in the captain's chair of the USS Enterprise to patrol an 8x8 quadrant galaxy, manage dilithium crystal energy reserves, fire phasers and photon torpedoes, and defend federation starbases from hostile Klingon and Romulan fleets.
