Balloon Bomber

🏢 Taito 📅 01 Jan 1980 🎮 Taito Fixed Shooter Classics / Balloon Bomber
Expanding on the legendary fixed-shooter foundations of Space Invaders, arcade pioneer Taito released Balloon Bomber in 1980, challenging players to defend a ground base by shooting down hot air balloons carrying bomber planes across the sky—where shooting the balloon dropped the plane, shooting the plane triggered a falling parachute, and missed planes crashed onto the ground to blast large craters into the player's runway, restricting cannon movement.
