If you’re a racing game enthusiast, chances are you’re either already immersed in Forza Horizon 6 or eagerly awaiting its PS5 release later this year.
For those still on the sidelines, there’s exciting news: one of the generation’s most compelling racers now offers a playable demo, and we highly recommend giving it a try.
Screamer, which debuted at the end of March, is an arcade‑style racing game that fuses anime‑inspired narrative with intense, high‑octane combat, delivering a unique experience unlike anything else on the market.
Players steer their highly stylised vehicles with the right stick, drifting through winding tracks; speed builds a boost meter, and activating those boosts unleashes powerful attacks that can knock opponents out of the race.
Every racer in the title boasts a unique power‑up, injecting a dash of hero‑shooter flair into the high‑speed chaos.
While the game isn’t flawless, Milestone deserves commendation for daring to defy conventional racing tropes and daring to experiment with bold new concepts.
The demo unlocks the opening chapters of the Tournament’s single‑player storyline, letting players taste the competitive narrative before committing.
Racing enthusiasts would do well to test the waters—regardless of how much they care about plot, the sheer thrill of the driving mechanics and the wild, inventive features make Screamer a compelling experience worth exploring.
