Preorders are now open for Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation 5, with the racing game set to release on January 26. The listing is available at all the usual retailers.
The new installment brings the series’ racing action to Japan, featuring what IGN describes as its largest map to date. Players can explore a range of biomes, from mountaintops to Tokyo streets, choosing from over 550 vehicles to race in.

IGN awarded the game a 10/10 in its review, noting that the PS5 version promises to be just as good. The standard edition is priced at $69.99 across retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and the digital PS Store.

A physical copy remains available for those who prefer discs, alongside a digital version of the standard edition that comes with just the base game and no extras. Those who preorder the standard edition can upgrade to more expensive editions on the PlayStation Store when it launches.
Deluxe and Premium Editions
The digital deluxe edition is priced at $99.99 from the PS Store, including the base game plus a Welcome Pack and Car Pass.

The premium edition costs $119.99 and adds to that list a VIP Membership, two expansions, a Time Attack Car Pack, and an Italian Passion Pack.
About Forza Horizon 6
Forza Horizon 6 is the latest entry in Microsoft’s open-world racing series from Playground Oyunlar. It already launched for Xbox Seri X|S and PC on May 18, 2026, featuring over 550 real-life vehicles to collect.
The game takes place in Japan, where players can race across all sorts of biomes. Players can build a Valley Estate to buy homes and display their vehicle collection, then compete solo, co-op, or competitively through a campaign filled with various race types including Time Attack Circuits and Drag Meets.
In this new era for Microsoft, not all of the company’s first-party games are coming to PS5. Gears of War: E-Day, for instance, is an Xbox exclusive. But Forza Horizon 6 remains heading to Sony’s platform.
Critic Luke Reilly praised the title in his review: “Technically, Forza Horizon 6 has not skipped a beat, and it runs like a titan. Aesthetically, it’s the best-looking and best-sounding game Playground has produced to date, set in the most wonderfully realised map it’s ever crafted – full of dense, authentic details and stunning driving roads. It’s rewarding to explore, the campaign is well-paced with a great payoff, and I simply cannot stop playing.”
