I’ve been running transient load sweeps on my rig to map out VRM droop behavior under the abrupt CPU loads we hit in competitive shooters, and I want to hear how others are tuning this. Specifically, when I dial LLC up to a higher level, I’m seeing voltage overshoot spike past the target during transient steps, but dropping it causes Vcore to sag too deep during load transients, which correlates directly with micro-stutters in my frametime curve. My question is: at what point does overshoot start causing more instability than the droop protects against, and how do you balance that?

For anyone running benchmark-style testing, are you measuring peak overshoot/undershoot with a scope or relying on HWiNFO logging? What LLC level are you landing on for load stability without the voltage spiking, and have you noticed a noticeable frametime difference between LLC3 and LLC4 in-game? Also, does anyone else see clock stability degrade during sudden load drops (like menu transitions) even when droop looks fine on paper?
