I’ve been running the 3395 through ranked for the last two years and just switched to the 3950 on my main, but the LOD behavior on the newer silicon feels genuinely different—not just a spec bump. For anyone who’s actually stress-tested both in-session: have you noticed a meaningful change in how each handles sub-pixel tracking at low lift-off distances, or is the 3950 mostly cleaner at higher DPI during whipping flicks? I’ve read the 3395’s 500 FPS polling and 266 IPS/50G limits were the gold standard, but the 3950’s claimed 650 IPS/650G push makes me wonder if motion sync handling improved or if it’s just marketing on paper.

Mere practically: what LOD tuning range are you actually using, and did you find the 3395’s ~1.5mm cutoff too aggressive for mouse-ups, causing those little tracking drops? On legacy sensors, I still hit micro-stutters on textured mousepads that never happened on the 3395—does the 3950 fully close that gap, or are there known rough patches early on? Curious how much of the upgrade is real-world feel versus benchmark numbers.

The 3395’s real trick wasn’t the raw numbers—it was locking out the whole “sensor feels broken on cheap pads” era. Before the 3
