I’ve been modeling peeker’s advantage from first principles, but I want to stress-test my assumptions against what actually runs in production netcode. Here’s my framework: with 50ms ping, the round-trip is ~100ms, and since the peeker’s client broadcasts their live position while the responder’s client only has access to an interpolated snapshot (typically 100ms of buffered history), the responder is essentially shooting at a ghost rendered two half-pings behind. Is that the actual mechanism, or am I oversimplifying how the server authoritative tick rate (128 vs 64) reshapes that window?
