    Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into Hardware Attestation via TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in Modern Esport Titles recently and wanted to ask the community for real-world impressions.

Trusted Piattaforma Module Secure Boot Piattaforma Configuration Registers Attestation Key UEFI Firmware Kernel-Mode Anti-Cheat Hardware Root of Trust Cryptographic Hash Extension Nonce Replay Protection Algorithmic Agility in TPM Power Analysis Countermeasures Flash Write Endurance Authenticated Variables Measurement Log Remote Attestation Protocol

Has anyone tested this setup or experienced something similar? Any tips would be appreciated!

Let me be straight with you: in CS2 and Valorant, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot have basically zero impact on your tick rate, frame pacing, or latency. Those terms in your post read like an Intel PCH spec sheet, not a real competitive concern. What actually matters is how kernel-mode anti-cheats interact with Secure Boot.

For Valorant, Riot’s Vanguard requires Secure Boot enabled and won’t run cleanly otherwise. CS2’s VAC Live is lighter, but if you queue on Faceit or ESEA with their kernel drivers, a disabled Secure Boot or poorly enrolled keys can throw anti-cheat errors mid-round. Enroll your keys in the UEFI firmware, set Secure Boot to Standard (or Custom with your OS key), and confirm your OS install is signed. Don’t disable it to “gain FPS” — that’s a myth that’ll just get you flagged.

On the performance side, stop chasing attestation logs and focus on what actually moves the needle: 1000Hz mouse polling (1ms input) or jump to 8000Hz (0.125ms) if your peripheral supports it, enable Resizable BAR for that 4080 Super, and lock your RAM to the EXPO profile for the 7800X3D. Frame pacing and your 1% lows matter far more for competitive consistency than any PCR measurement log.
