Fellow esports competitors, the battle against DMA (Direct Memory Access) hardware cheating cards has pushed anti-cheat developers towards mandatory virtualization and hypervisor checks. Privacy advocates argue that giving third-party software ring-0 kernel authority creates unacceptable security vulnerabilities.
On the other hand, tournament organizers say software-level detection is obsolete against PCIe screamer cards. How do you balance system integrity with competitive esports fairness?
