I play in semi-pro CS2 scrims and my teammates keep complaining my mic picks up my Cherry MX Blues. My room isn’t soundproofed and the clack is brutal over Discord/TeamSpeak during callouts. I’ve been bouncing between NVIDIA Broadcast, Krisp, and some standalone spectral subtraction software but something’s always off — either the noise isn’t fully gone, or I start sounding like a robot with musical noise artifacts on the quiet parts.

The thing that really annoys me is the latency trade-off. Some of these filters add like 20-30ms of delay and in a fast-paced game that eats into my reaction time budget. I’ve read that older spectral subtraction runs on fixed noise-floor assumptions and chokes on non-stationary clicks like keyboard input, while the newer deep learning ones are heavier on the CPU. Anyone actually run these in a real tournament setup? What’s the best latency-to-quality balance you’ve found?
