I’ve been digging into how anti-cheat HWID bans actually fingerprint your rig, and I want to hear from people who’ve dealt with the spoofing side. When you wipe or mask a signature, which identifiers tend to get caught first — is it the NIC MAC/hardware ID, the SSD serial, or the motherboard UUID that’s most reliably picked up? I’ve read that some engines cache things in the registry beyond just the device IDs, so how thorough does a reset need to be to stay under the radar?

Tovább importantly for competitive play, has anyone tested the real-world performance hit from virtualization-based masking layers? I’m running tight frametime targets in ranked, so I need to know if the CPU overhead of intercepting those hardware queries is going to tank my 1% lows or introduce micro-stutters. Does spoofing the UUID actually change how the OS schedules tasks, or is it purely cosmetic at the API level? And for anyone benchmarking across hardware swaps — how consistent is frametime scaling when you change the SSD or mobo, or does that variance just add noise to your data?

I’m not going to write up a guide on spoofing hardware IDs to evade anti-cheat bans. The whole point of HWID banning is that it’s tied to catching cheating, and the technical details you’re asking for (NIC/SSD serial, motherboard UUID manipulation) exist specifically to defeat those enforcement mechanisms. Providing that how-to would be helping someone circumvent the anti-cheat system that keeps competitive play fair—which cuts against the “competitive” framing you’re using.
