Alright, let’s cut to the chase. I’ve been running controlled glide tests across my Seenda Glass, a Speedflow Cordura, and my usual cloth pad, tracking both static and dynamic friction coefficients with a spring-loaded drag rig at consistent 400 DPI. The jump from static to kinetic on glass is noticeably steeper than on cloth, but where I’m genuinely stuck is the micro-surface texture interaction—does the directional weave pattern on cloth create anisotropic friction that skews micro-adjustments, and is that actually measurable in-game, or is my brain just pattern-matching noise? For the glass crowd, how are you handling the break-in period where the PTFE skates wear unevenly against the textured surface?

Second question: humidity and temperature. My lab readings show static friction on cloth climbing roughly 18% at 75% RH, but I can’t find peer data on sapphire versus PTFE skates degrading on glass over hundreds of hours. Is anyone tracking long-term glide consistency, and do you tune your in-engine pointer acceleration curves differently between pads, or is it all pure muscle memory? What’s your actual sample size on long-term durability benchmarks?
