I’ve been running DyAc+ on my Zowie across tournaments for three years, but the ULMB 2 dual-strobe architecture on the new 360Hz ROG panels is making me rethink my setup. Here’s where I need the community’s actual bench data: when ULMB 2 fires its two strobes per frame to bridge the G-Sync gap at sub-framerates, are you seeing any residual double-image ghosting on fast horizontal sweeps, or does the tighter pulse width fully neutralize the secondary artifact? Compare that to classic ULMB 1, where I’ve always felt the phosphor persistence left a faint smear at 100fps, versus DyAc+’s single high-frequency pulse which I find cleaner but noticeably dimmer at 240Hz.

My real question is about practical competitive tradeoffs. For a fast-twitch FPS player, does the dimming penalty of narrower pulse widths actually hurt target detection in darker map regions, or is your eye already adapted?

Here’s the architectural lineage people keep glossing over. DyAc+ actually traces back to BenQ’s original DyAc on the XL2540, but the “+” revision was the real breakthrough—it decoupled strobe frequency from panel refresh
