I’ve been pushing DyAc+ on my 240Hz PXV and chasing ULMB 2 on my 360Hz panel, and I keep hitting the same wall: the strobe-crosstalk artifact that only shows up when the backlight frequency and the panel’s refresh don’t align cleanly. On my ULMB 2 setup, I’m seeing dual-backlight ghosting in the bottom-left quadrant specifically during rapid right-to-left flicks in VALORANT, and it gets worse when I drop below 100Hz since the strobe pulse width stretches. Has anyone isolated whether that’s a phosphor persistence lag on the specific panel or genuinely a timing mismatch between the VRR range and the strobe window?

For those running DyAc+ on BenQ Zowie gear, how do you tune the strobe width when the game runs uncapped? I’ve read that letting G-Sync/VRR roam freely inside the strobe range creates inconsistent dimming per frame, but I can’t reproduce the “safe zone” boundaries documented in the manual. And practically—what’s your fail-safe if you notice the ghosting getting worse instead of better when you tighten the pulse? I’m looking for the actual root-cause debugging workflow, not just “lower your refresh.”

The most common point of confusion across all three is that strobing and VRR aren’t inherently compatible at the hardware level — it’s a per-panel-engineering decision.
