Quick question for anyone who’s actually benchmarked this on their rig: I’ve been A/B testing WASAPI Exclusive at 32 vs 64 samples against ASIO4ALL on my current setup, and I’m seeing frametime spikes that don’t line up with what the latency meters are reporting. When you force WASAPI Exclusive at low buffers, do you see the OS resampling kick in at 48kHz→44.1kHz mismatches, or does it hold steady if the app and device sample rates match exactly? My concern is that the jitter from the shared-mode Audio Engine is bleeding into my input latency, but I can’t isolate whether it’s the driver or something in my DPC timing.

For those running ASIO on a USB audio interface in-game, how much of a real-world difference did you measure in reaction-time-sensitive titles compared to WASAPI Exclusive? Did buffer sizes under 64 samples cause dropouts, or were you stable on a tuned 48kHz/32-sample config? And has anyone cross-referenced audio pipeline jitter against frametime consistency—like, does reducing audio buffer size actually tighten your 1% lows, or is that a placebo effect? Curious what empirical data people have before I commit to a config for tournament play.
