Veteran developers behind the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3 have unveiled a new trailer for their ambitious action RPG, revealing that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on September 3, 2026. This latest installment promises to transport players back in time, offering a refreshing blend of blood, vampires, and an open-ended saga without finales.
The game places you in the shoes of Coen, a character who is neither fully human nor a complete vampire (a “Dawnwalker”). The first game takes place entirely in the 14th century, amidst the Black Death and war ravaging Europe. Our primary objective is to bolster Brencis, a powerful vampire lord ruling over Vale Sangora, nestled within the Carpathian Mountains. This expansive dark fantasy world is powered by Unreal Engine 5, offering players a wide range of choices that directly impact the outcome of this medieval tale.
However, the real bombshell of the event wasn’t the sword combat, but rather a second CGI teaser. Out of nowhere, we were shown Coen in the 21st century, dressed in modern attire. Multiverse theories or time travel? Nothing of the sort. Jakub Szamałek and Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the project’s directors, quickly clarified the confusion.
