In an exciting development, we announced back in February that Silent Hill: Townfall was slated for release in 2026, and now, we are thrilled to confirm that the game will be available on September 24! This marks our third consecutive year of launching a Silent Hill title in the same season, following the 2024 release of Silent Hill 2 and the 2025 launch of Silent Hill f.

Analysis: This consistent release pattern indicates a strong commitment from the developer to the Silent Hill franchise, suggesting that fans can expect more high-quality titles in the future.

During today’s State of Play, we unveiled a brand-new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, featuring a new character and gameplay. You can watch it below:

As you may have observed, each trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall has been a sequential continuation, gradually painting a vivid picture of what the game entails. While plot details are best savored during actual gameplay, we can delve into a few more features and moments revealed in the latest trailer!

We finally get to see a face and name associated with the voice heard on the CRTV from our February’s State of Play reveal trailer.

A resident of St. Amelia, Zoe is a nurse from a local family clinic, deeply committed to her profession. Her urgent calls for Simon’s return to the island can be heard simultaneously with her questioning him, “What are you doing here?”. For Simon, this question presents a conundrum; St. Amelia is an unfamiliar place, and Zoe is an unknown entity in his life.

In line with Screen Burn’s previous titles, the game aims to craft puzzles and problems that intertwine with the narrative, often providing story elements within their setup or solutions. The trailer offers a few hints, some more grounded and realistic than others. Solving these puzzles is not merely a means of progression but serves as a tool to comprehend Simon’s predicament. Each puzzle has been carefully designed during the storywriting process, making them an integral part of the world you explore and relevant to its inhabitants. As such, each puzzle holds a deeper meaning or revelation within it.

We’ve invested significant effort in leveraging the features of the PlayStation 5 and the DualSense Wireless Controller within the game. The adaptive triggers mimicking firearm feels, haptic feedback signaling a creature’s approaching footsteps as you hide, and motion-controlled gameplay elements such as fine-tuning the CRTV into weak signals by twisting the device for better signal reception are just a few examples of how these features enrich the gaming experience.

We are thrilled to reveal more about the game as we edge closer to its September launch! For now, let’s delve into the details shared today by Okamoto-san regarding the launch editions of Silent Hill: Townfall.

Two versions will be available for players: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition grants you exclusive bonus cosmetics, “CRTV: Rusted” and “CRTV: Beach Edition,” which allow you to customize the appearance of your CRTV. The Deluxe Edition offers additional perks, including a “Simon’s Outfit: Alternate” skin, a Bonus Application containing an interactive artbook and digital soundtrack, early access, and 48-hour head start. Don’t forget to personalize Simon and his CRTV as you progress through the game.

Starting today, Silent Hill: Townfall is open for pre-order on PlayStation Store. As we move towards launch, stay tuned for more updates on Silent Hill: Townfall. We eagerly anticipate that both longtime fans of the Silent Hill series and newcomers will be captivated by the chilling narrative unfolding in St. Amelia.
