Imagine transforming into a swift wolf to traverse the map with ease, gaining powerful lifesteal capabilities, or even amplifying the amount of Corruption gained from draining blood.

The Path to Corruption: Drinking Deep
There’s only one fundamental way to increase your Corruption level in The Blood of Dawnwalker: by consuming blood. This can be achieved through two primary methods: utilizing the “Voracious Bite” ability or using vials of blood found throughout the world.
The “Voracious Bite” skill allows you to drain blood from both humans and animals, either in the heat of combat or by focusing your energy while exploring the map. Our experience suggests that the amount of Corruption gained is directly related to the size of the enemy. Smaller creatures like rabbits and rats will yield only a small amount of Corruption, while larger animals, such as deer or even unsuspecting humans, provide a more substantial boost.
Crucially, you can still gain Corruption even if your health bar is full. This makes it advantageous to use Voracious Bite whenever the ability is available to maximize your Corruption gains. Don’t forget to loot fallen enemies; they may carry vials of blood as valuable resources.
Alternatively, if you have an abundance of vials of blood, you can consume them to rapidly increase your Corruption level. However, it’s generally advisable to conserve these for healing during combat or as crafting materials. We recommend only using vials of blood when you have a surplus, as you can easily gain Corruption by simply using Voracious Bite on a random animal.
It’s important to note that only vials that restore your vampiric health will contribute to increasing your Corruption level. For example, items like “Beast’s Bane Brew,” while appearing to be blood-based and providing a +10% damage bonus against animals upon consumption, do not heal your health and therefore will not increase your Corruption.
