Event Bonuses & How to Catch ‘Em

To maximize your gains, take advantage of the increased XP and Stardust bonuses. From August 18th to 20th, enjoy 2x catch XP and 3x catch Stardust. This increases to 3x XP and 4x Stardust from August 20th to 22nd, culminating in a whopping 4x XP and 5x Stardust from August 22nd to 24th! The weekend is prime time for catching!

Here’s how you can snag those elusive new Pokémon:

  • Arrokuda: Look for guaranteed encounters at Go Pass rank 13 and 28 (deluxe pass holders get even more!). Field Research tasks will also offer random Arrokuda encounters. Finally, use Rainy Lure Modules placed on PokéStops to increase your chances of finding one. Evolve Arrokuda into Barraskewda using 60 Candy.
  • Cramorant: Hatch Cramorant from 5km eggs obtained during the event. Guaranteed encounters are available at Go Pass rank 30 (and ranks 19 and 30 with the deluxe pass). Take a snapshot each day to get a photobomb encounter, and keep an eye out in the Go Battle League starting at rank 16. Cramorant can also change forms in trainer battles – watch for Gorging Form (with Pikachu!) or Gulping Form (with Arrokuda!).
