It has been a year since Dispatch brought Malevola and a reasonably capable choice-driven superhero management sim to players. To mark the anniversary, Nombre Hoc Studio is rolling out a host of extras, including a substantial update to the game’s deluxe edition, a new mobile release later this year, merchandise, and a live concert.

From today, owners of the deluxe edition will receive a free update adding two new game modes: commentary and storyboard. The two modes do exactly what their names suggest, letting you play with cast and crew sharing behind-the-scenes insights, or while viewing the game’s storyboarding materials, or both. The modes operate independently but can be run simultaneously if you want to dig into the guts of what made this game so good that it sold five million copies. If you only own the standard edition, upgrading to deluxe will cost $11.

Nombre Hoc is also announcing a mobile version of Dispatch, set to launch on Android and iOS on December 9th. It is a narrative choice / management-sim style game, making it a natural fit for phones. The first four episodes will be free, with the full version available for purchase at $20.

Finally, Nombre Hoc is opening the goodie bag, releasing a wealth of extra content for fans beyond the game itself. The range includes an art book, clothing, posters, a physical edition of the digital comic, and a concert featuring artists from the game’s soundtrack, including the musical stylings of…checks notes Fartbarf.
