This necessitates reshoots for all of Kratos’ scenes from the first four episodes, as well as for the remainder of the season. Bautista undeniably brings a more physically convincing portrayal of Kratos to the role. However, some are noting that he appears to have slimmed down recently. Someone needs to get him a good pie! Fortunately, the wrestler surprised many with his standout performance as Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy series (even if the writers seemed to forget how to write him in the third installment). And, let’s face it, a significant portion of Kratos’ dialogue consists of looking annoyed and growling “Boy,” so perhaps it won’t prove too challenging.

A keen-eyed fan has pointed out that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special features a scene where a tourist refers to Drax as “the god of war,” which is a rather amusing piece of foreshadowing. This detail adds another layer of intrigue to Bautista’s casting.
