With the release of Patch 2.5, Cyberpunk 2077 players on PS5 now have access to user-created mods — and there are 52 of them to choose from at launch.

Just like The Witcher 3 Remastered, downloading and installing mods is really easy: you just click the new ‘Mods’ option on the title’s main menu, and then you’re just a button press away from adding them to your game.
Keep in mind, however, that mods do disable Trophies when they’ve been added to a save file. A new icon appears on save files that have been modded, so you can tell them apart from regular playthroughs.
So, what’s up for grabs? Well, honestly, there’s nothing too exciting on offer right now (as is also the case in The Witcher 3 Remastered).

There are several new quests that reuse existing assets and lines of dialogue, and there are a selection of ‘Romance Enhanced’ mods, which make the game’s romantic partners a bit more lively after you’ve entered a relationship with them.
A couple of mods let you “romance” previously uninterested characters, like Alex from the Phantom Liberty expansion, and fan-favourite bouncer Rita Wheeler. They essentially add sex scene triggers.
There are also a bunch of quality of life mods and ‘fixes’. For example, there’s a mod that extends the timer on car delivery missions (which can feel seriously unfair every now and then), and there’s another mod that pushes V through checkpoints — like the one in Dogtown — much faster.
And of course, a number of mods add new cosmetics, like eye colours and hairstyles.
Again, there’s nothing massively exciting here (yet), but invested players should find little bits and pieces they’re interested in.
