Bloober Team has confirmed that its Cronos: The New Dawn expansion, which acts as a prequel to the main game, will launch on 3rd December 2026 for PS5. Cronos: Lazarus will cost $9.99 on release, and a fresh look at the DLC can be seen in the trailer above.
Having met the Pathfinder in the base game, the Lazarus expansion lets players take control of the Pathfinder in a story that chronicles their journey into becoming The Warden. “Standing in the Pathfinder’s way is the Tracker, a relentless envoy of the Collective tasked with hunting him down before he can complete a revival mission the organization must never uncover,” a press release teases.
The combat in Lazarus is described as “more aggressive”, and it “rewards quick thinking and tactical play”. Players will gain new abilities such as teleportation, decoys, and an upgraded version of the original title’s handgun, called the Gladius.
A quality horror game from last year, the source publisher gave Cronos: The New Dawn an 8/10 rating in its PS5 review and said: “With impeccable visuals, an entrancing score, and a captivatingly dark time-travelling mystery, Cronos: The New Dawn is a delectable piece of sci-fi horror.”
