Battlefield 6 has added a new microtransaction called the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, which instantly unlocks every gun in the game for all four classes at 100% Mastery—meaning they are fully leveled up and kitted out—for $30.

The military shooter launched its Season 5 update this week, arrived on Xbox Game Pass, and ushered in a new Game of the Year Edition. The Ultimate Shortcut Kit is the latest addition to the game’s microtransactions.

Similar shortcut kits have appeared in past Battlefield games, though those cost more. The Ultimate Shortcut Kit for Battlefield 3 costs $40 and the one for Battlefield 4 costs $50.

Battlefield 4 ($50)

The Ultimate Shortcut Kit also includes the Mortal Shriek dog tag and the Field Training: Cross Trained title. For each of the four classes—Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon—the kit provides seven weapons at 100% Mastery, two vehicles at 100% Mastery, that class’s training path, and a number of gadgets.

The contents vary by class. The Assault and Support kits each include four gadgets, while the Engineer kit includes seven. The Recon kit includes four gadgets.

People online have raised concerns about the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, arguing it is unfair to allow players to buy every gun from the start instead of grinding to progress. Others have welcomed it, saying they do not have the time or interest in spending countless hours leveling up their guns and simply want to play everything the game has to offer.

Battlefield 6 was 2025’s best-selling game in the US, reportedly selling more than 20 million units in about three months. Despite the game’s enormous success, EA cut staff at the studio after launch.
