Avatar: Seven Havens premiered last week exclusively on Paramount+, and shortly after, the studio revealed that seasons 3 and 4 of the series are already greenlit alongside another Avatar project.
According to a report by Jacob Kienlen for IGN, he finds himself conflicted about subscribing. As someone who doesn’t currently have a Paramount+ subscription, he says he really wants to watch Seven Havens but doesn’t want to add it to his monthly streaming bill.

Kienlen notes that Avatar: The Last Air Bender is his favorite animated show of all time and that he also loved what the creators did with The Legend of Korra. While he really wants to see Seven Havens, he says he doesn’t want to add a Paramount+ subscription to his monthly streaming bill.
He acknowledges that he could have written off the new show as a shameless grab for subscription dollars, but the positive reviews of the premiere make it harder to avoid. Pairing that with the fact that he still hasn’t seen the Avatar Aang movie yet, he says it seems inevitable that he’s going to get at least a temporary subscription just to watch those two things.

With the Paramount Skydance acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery now complete, Kienlen says this is likely not the last time a Paramount+ subscription will be needed to watch a popular show. For now he’s still clinging to his HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+ bundle as his main source of content, but who knows when that could go away.
For now, he says he’s glad he only has to spend an extra $8.99 to watch the new Avatar show.
