Valve has officially announced the price and launch date for its Steam Machine, confirming that the console will hit shelves on June 29th.

Priced at a premium, the Steam Machine will be available in four distinct configurations. The base model, featuring 512 GB of storage and no controller, starts at $1,609, while the top‑tier 2 TB version, complete with a controller, tops the line at $2,228.

To manage demand, Valve is employing a lottery system for the initial release. Interested buyers can register their intent by June 25th, after which a random draw will determine who enters a reservation queue and who is placed on a waitlist. The first shipment will commence on June 29th, with additional units gradually released as the waitlist is depleted.

The newly unveiled Steam Machine is a compact, 6‑inch cube that runs on SteamOS, boasting six times the processing power of the Steam Deck. Designed for high‑resolution play, it targets 4K output at 60 frames per second, leveraging FidelityFX Super Resolution to smooth performance.
