Atari & Digital Eclipse to Release 16-Game Retro Barbie Collection

The upcoming title bundles a nostalgic collection of classic Barbie titles with a fresh home‑design adventure, all packaged into a single, cohesive experience.

In the new Dreamhouse mode, players can transform Barbie’s residence by selecting from an array of furniture, décor, and accessories that pay homage to genuine Barbie playsets released over the past 65 years.

To access certain coveted items, players must first complete missions in the retro games, seamlessly integrating the compilation aspect into the gameplay loop.

The compilation, titled Barbie Rewind, features 16 iconic Barbie games from the 1990s and 2000s, ranging from the NES era to the PlayStation generation. By finishing objectives in these titles, players earn rewards that unlock new furnishings for the Dreamhouse mode.

Barbie: Vacation Adventure, a long‑awaited title originally destined for the Genesis/Mega Drive and SNES, finally makes its debut in fully playable form—an exciting first for fans and collectors alike.

Set to launch later this year, the game will be available on a wide array of platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, with a digital price tag of $29.99.

Physical copies will also hit shelves, priced at $29.99 for both PS5 and Switch editions. Additionally, the Switch will receive a premium $59.99 Deluxe Edition that comes bundled with an exclusive Barbie doll sporting an Atari t‑shirt.

Barbie Rewind pays tribute to over six decades of Barbie’s influence on fashion, interior design, and beyond, reimagining the iconic brand through the compelling medium of video games. By blending nostalgic appeal with contemporary gameplay, the title aims to captivate both devoted long‑time fans and a new generation of players, all while radiating an unmistakable, vibrant pink aesthetic.
