Electronic Arts has confirmed that bağlantı”>Apex Legends is teaming up with Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise in a limited-time crossover event titled “Apex Legends vs Street Fighter 6,” which launches Sept. 22 and runs through Oct. 13, landing just one month before the beloved fighting game series makes its debut on the big screen.
The collaboration was announced via an official blog post on the Apex Legends website, with developers positioning the event as a nod to classic versus-style franchises like bağlantı”>Marvel vs. Capcom. The timing is deliberate: the crossover arrives ahead of Street Fighter’s highly anticipated new film adaptation, which hits theaters this fall.
A New Wildcard Mode Turns Battle Royale Into Melee Brawl
The centerpiece of the crossover is a revamped version of the Wildcard game mode, transforming Apex Legends’ signature battle royale into an all-out melee fight. Rather than trading gunfire, players will select from four Street Fighter characters and use hand-to-hand combat to eliminate their opponents.
As players land on the map, they’ll collect coins that fill a Fighter Gauge, allowing them to enter “Fighter Form” and unlock additional special abilities throughout each match. The mode takes place on a remixed version of the Olympus map, dotted with references to Capcom’s franchise.
The Apex Legends vs Street Fighter 6 crossover brings together two iconic franchises in ways fans never expected, blending our battle royale gameplay with the signature moves and characters that have made Street Fighter a global phenomenon for decades.

Street Fighter Legends Bring Their Signature Moves
Ryu leads the roster with fast movement and ranged Hadoken projectiles before finishing opponents with a powerful Shin Shoryuken uppercut. Chun-Li offers wall-running mobility alongside faster melee attacks, Kikoken projectiles, and a charged Kikosho blast that locks down a zone.

The more aggressive options include Akuma, who launches Gou Hadoken demon fireballs from afar before closing distance to unleash the devastating Shun Goku Satsu. Dhalsim provides a unique playstyle by floating above the battlefield on low gravity, controlling space with Yoga Teleport and raining down fire with a Yoga Sunburst from above.

Beyond the gameplay mode, the crossover introduces eight new Iconic-tier skins that give Apex Legends characters a Street Fighter makeover. Each skin costs 2,150 Apex Coins and pairs iconic fighters with beloved Apex legends.
The lineup includes Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, Bangalore as Elena, Mirage as Luke, Gibraltar as Akuma, Wattson as Cammy, Caustic as Blanka, and Pathfinder as Dhalsim. In addition to character skins, players can purchase eight weapon skins, two skydive emotes, holosprays, stickers, badges, trackers, and frames.
