Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance are the material form of memories of heroes, either from the world where the story takes place or from other dimensions. While most of them are protagonists from other Final Fantasy games, there are a few original characters in the roster as well. Unlocking Visions is crucial to creating the perfect builds for each character.

To help you, we’ve put together this guide explaining how to unlock all Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance, as well as a list with the most important information about each unit.
How Visions work in Final Fantasy Resonance
Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance work as unique sets of skills that you can equip to complement a character’s skill set. At the same time, each Vision belongs to one of the five different roles available in the game — sentinel, commando, breaker, saboteur, and medic — which influence their skill sets and what characters they synergize best with. A character can equip only one Vision, but you can change them whenever you want while outside of battle.
Since they are not playable characters, Visions don’t have their own turns in battles. You can use their skills by selecting the Vision’s tab in the battle menu. To upgrade a Vision’s skills, you must awaken them using one of the three types of magicite: magicite shards, magicite, and magicite crysts.
In addition to the Vision skills characters can use in battles, Visions also grant a secondary set of abilities called “mastery bonuses.” These become permanently available for characters to equip, even when they are using a different Vision. To unlock mastery bonuses, you must win battles while units have Visions equipped to earn mastery points, which increase their Mastery Rank. Each mastery bonus skill costs a certain number of ability points to equip. Since Mastery Ranks aren’t shared between characters, you will need to increase the Mastery Rank of the same Vision with different characters.
All Vision locations in Final Fantasy Resonance
To obtain more Visions, you must either find their sanctum or complete side quests. While none of the methods are challenging, Visions are locked behind story progression. For example, some side quests will only become available once you reach a specific chapter. The only exception is Sephiroth, whom you must battle in order to obtain as a Vision. Although you can always backtrack to previous regions to unlock Visions you might have missed, consider prioritizing them since they can be quite helpful during the campaign.
Below, you’ll find all the 26 Visions and how to unlock them:
