Oni Press is celebrating 15 years of Adventure Time comics with the launch of the Adventure Time Deluxe Comics Library, a sprawling six-volume collection that gathers every issue published by BOOM! Studios and Oni Press since the franchise’s comic-book debut in 2012. The ambitious box set is now open for backing through the Kickstarter campaign for the Adventure Time Deluxe Comics Library, and IGN has exclusively debuted a first look at Ryan North and Jim Rugg’s Adventure Time #26, one of the many titles archived within the set.
A Decade and a Half of Stories
The Deluxe Comics Library arrives as a comprehensive archive for devoted fans, assembling work from a broad roster of talent that has shaped the series across more than a decade. The collected creators span the wider comics industry, with contributors including Ryan North, the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl writer, and Mariko Tamaki, author of Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me, alongside Jim Rugg. Other names lending their craft to the set include Ian McGinty of Bee and PuppyCat, Christopher Hastings of Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones, Brenda Hickey of My Little Pony, and Box Brown, whose Is This Guy for Real? earned critical acclaim.
The roster extends well beyond those highlights, featuring Kenzie Bugg of Tuca and Bertie, John P. Golden of Over the Garden Wall: Circus Friends, and Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb of Midas, alongside a host of other industry names. The collection also draws on the earlier BOOM! Studios run, preserving the work of the creative teams that helped define the property’s visual identity long before Oni Press took the helm.
Collector Options and Exclusive Bundles
Through the Kickstarter campaign, collectors can choose from a range of options, purchasing individual volumes or the complete six-book set. Two exclusive, limited-edition bundles round out the offering: the Land of Ooo boxset and the Land of BMO boxset, each designed to appeal to fans with a particular attachment to the show’s most beloved characters.
