Welcome, fellow demon hunters! Today, we’re diving deep into “Onimusha: Way of the Sword” to conquer the challenging “Ace Archer: Kyoto Imperial Palace” mission. This side quest puts Musashi’s archery skills to the ultimate test as you track down and eliminate those pesky Kubi Akaris. Just like in the “Ace Archer: Nijo-jo Castle” story, success hinges on finding all five targets. So, grab your bow, sharpen your aim, and let’s get started!
Unlocking the Hunt
To embark on this archery adventure, you must first locate the “Gojo Street – West Spirit Mirror.” Head north to find a man eager for your assistance. He’ll task you with eliminating the flying creatures plaguing the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Your objective: dispatch five Kubi Akaris within the palace grounds.
Kubi Akari #1: The Western Corridor
This first target patrols a corridor connecting two buildings on the western side of the map. Starting from the “Palace Entrance Spirit Mirror” in the south, head north through the area teeming with genma. Proceed to the northwest corner and follow the path leading east. From there, look north to spot the corridor where the Kubi Akari is patrolling. Be patient; this creature is constantly on the move!
Kubi Akari #2: Beneath the Stone
To reach this second target, head east and crawl under the stone structures surrounding the area. Once you emerge, clear out the genma and the oni stone chest. Then, move southeast to a point where you can see the corner of a house. Aim through the window to find the Kubi Akari flying inside.
Kubi Akari #3: The Elevated Platform
On the northwest side of the same area, you’re going to find a ramp leading up to an elevated platform. Climb it and look south to locate the third Kubi Akari.
Kubi Akari #4: Through the Archway
For this one, return to the main path leading north and use the ramp on the west side to reach a roof covered in rock formations. One of these forms an archway; look through it to spot the Kubi Akari. Fire your arrow through the opening between the roof and this rock formation.
Kubi Akari #5: Above the Trees
The final Kubi Akari is located after the “Oikeniwa Pond Garden Spirit Mirror,” near the boss arena. Before you can hunt it, clear the area of enemies. Once safe, look south over a building surrounded by trees. The Kubi Akari hovers above it, but be aware that the flying genma often obscures your view.
