The wait is almost over, GTA fans! With a flurry of Grand Theft Auto 6 news hitting today, we wanted to highlight a crucial detail for those eager to jump into the Vice City sequel: preload availability. If you’re already hyped and ready to download, mark your calendars!
Preload Your Copy Now
Preorders are live now, and Grand Theft Auto 6 officially launches on November 19th. However, if you’re a pre-order customer, you can start downloading the game onto your PS5 or Xbox Series S|S starting November 12th, according to Rockstar. This means you’ll be ready to play the moment it releases!
Whether you opt for the standard edition (priced at $79.99) or the ultimate edition ($99.99), this early preload perk applies to both digital and physical copies. While “physical” copies come in a box, they contain a code that you’ll use to download the game onto your console.

If you haven’t preordered yet, you have a choice to make: digital or physical? And will you go for the standard edition or splurge on the ultimate edition, which includes bonus content (but no physical disc)? You can find the standard edition at $79.99 at Amazon, $79.99 at Walmart, and $79.99 at Best Buy. The ultimate edition is available for $99.99 at PlayStation and Xbox. For those wanting the ultimate edition on console, you can purchase the “Ultimate Edition Upgrade” for $20 on either the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store.
All preorders come with the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. Remember that GTA+ is a subscription service that auto-renews, so be sure to cancel it if you don’t want to continue paying. The Vintage Vice City Pack includes exclusive items like a classic car, unique outfits, and a special weapon pattern.

The ultimate edition expands on the base game with additional content “threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story.” This includes vehicles, weapons, clothing, and even access to special destinations. Think custom cars, a unique salon for character customization, and tattoo parlors – all adding layers of depth and personalization to your Vice City experience.
